Community members from Tioga County attended a panel discussion at the Tioga County Office Building to learn how New York State will be impacted, should a repeal of the Affordable Care Act (aka “Obamacare”) go through.  One of the main concerns is whether our property taxes would increase.

The panel presenters included Dan Lamb, a Cornell University Professor; Leslie Danks Burke, a former Senate Candidate; and Deborah Dawson, with the Ithaca Journal.

Per the WBNG article shared below: “”The most important thing is to call your state legislature, and your federal legislatures and say how do you plan to pay for the additional money that it is going to cost if we repeal the Affordable Care Act,” Danks Burke said.”

The Tioga County Democratic Committee and the Tioga County Progressive Committee co-sponsored the panel discussion.
