On Tuesday, 2/7/17, Citizens for a Better Southern Tier gathered on a rainy afternoon in Corning to make their voices heard outside Congressman Tom Reed’s office. It was inspiring to see that despite the foul weather constituents of the 23rd Congressional District felt compelled to gather to urge Congressman Reed to represent the people’s needs.
Per the group’s leader: “76,000 Southern Tier residents depend on the Affordable Care Act. Any replacement should offer equal or better coverage. Medicare should not be diminished. Lives are at stake. People before profits! Please continue to put pressure on the Congressman. He works for us! Kudos to all that came out to lend their voice and support. It will take a collective effort. We are always stronger together!”
If you’d like to get involved, they are holding a weekly rally at Congressman Reed’s office on Tuesdays from 4:00-5:00pm at 89 West Market Street, Corning, NY.
Way to go Corning and Citizens for a Better Southern Tier!
